Stimulator, Yellow

The Yellow Stimulator imitates Golden Stones (Hesperoperla pacifica) and Yellow Sallies (Isoperla), common throughout summer in many Western rivers. It may also double as a general attractor or large caddis imitation.

History:
One of the most popular Stimulator variations, the yellow version became essential for summer stonefly activity, particularly in July and August. It’s often used as the top fly in a dry-dropper rig and is known for drawing explosive strikes in riffles and pocket water.
