Renegade, Double

The Double Renegade is a variation of the original Renegade pattern, typically tied larger or with heavier hackling at both the front and rear. It may imitate clusters of insects or act purely as a high-visibility attractor.

This version evolved to create more buoyancy and surface disturbance, especially useful in fast or broken water. It remains popular among backcountry anglers who favor durable, flashy flies that float well and draw aggressive strikes.
