Partridge Soft Hackle Black

Mimics midge pupae, dark mayfly emergers, or even drowned adult insects. The black body offers a sharp silhouette, especially in low light.

History:
One of the oldest traditional soft hackles, stemming from British wet fly patterns dating back centuries. Black was favored for dusk and overcast days, or in stained water. The partridge hackle adds movement with minimal materials.
