Diver Brown

Bass fly imitating frogs, injured baitfish, or swimming rodents. Floats until stripped, then dives and pops under the surface, creating commotion to trigger strikes.

History:

Popularized by angler/tier Larry Dahlberg in the 1980s, the Dahlberg Diver became one of the most effective topwater/subsurface crossover flies for bass and pike. The brown color matches frogs and small mammals common in weedy lakes and rivers.
