Copper John Blue

Mimics mayfly nymphs, particularly Baetis, or serves as a general attractor nymph. The blue wire adds flash and visibility, especially effective in stained water or on pressured fish.

History:
The blue version was developed as a variation of John Barr’s original Copper John. Tied without a bead, it fishes higher in the water column, offering a subtler entry and slower descent—ideal for spooky fish or shallower streams.
