Colorado Caddis

Imitates both caddis larvae and pupae native to the Rocky Mountains. Often tied with sparse dubbing, peacock herl, and brown or gray hackle.

History:
A regional favorite in Colorado, especially during prolific caddis hatches on rivers like the Arkansas, Gunnison, and South Platte. This non-bead version is traditionally fished higher in the column, either dead drift or with twitches to simulate rising pupae.
