Carey Special Green

A versatile searching wet fly imitating dragonfly and damselfly nymphs, leeches, or even caddis pupae. The green body variation is especially effective in lakes.

History: Developed in the 1920s by Colonel Carey in British Columbia, the Carey Special was originally intended as a lake fly for Kamloops trout. It remains a classic stillwater pattern.
