Cahill, Light

The Light Cahill imitates lighter-colored mayflies like the Pale Evening Dun or Light Hendrickson. Its cream or pale yellow body and light wings make it ideal for summer evening hatches.

History:
Originally tied by Dan Cahill for Catskill streams, the Light Cahill became one of the most enduring mayfly imitations in American fly fishing. It has inspired numerous spinoffs and is still widely used today.
