Caddis Varient, Tan

The tan version imitates adult tan caddisflies, which are extremely common in both freestone and tailwater streams. It’s effective during summer evenings or in general prospecting situations.

History:
Like the dark version, this fly stems from Catskill and Western influences. The tan body version mimics a wide range of Trichoptera species and became a standard in fly boxes after the 1960s as the importance of caddis hatches became better understood and documented.
