Caddis, Elk Hair Brown

The Brown Elk Hair Caddis represents medium to dark brown adult caddisflies, a very common coloration among North American caddis species. It is highly effective on freestone streams and during mid- to late-season hatches.

History:
The brown version emerged shortly after the tan original, offering a more specific match for darker-bodied caddisflies. It is a go-to pattern in many rivers throughout the Rockies and Appalachians where brown-bodied caddis are prevalent.
