Beadhead Zebra Midge Black

Imitates midge larvae or chironomids, especially in tailwaters or lakes. The ribbed wire gives segmentation, and the beadhead helps get it down quickly.

History:
Created by Ted Welling on the San Juan River, the Zebra Midge is one of the most effective midge nymphs ever tied. Black is the most common version, often fished in sizes 18–24 year-round.
